Marco, you were the second best in the National Teams category. How did you feel when you came home from the IKA 2024?
Very good, to achieve such success with a newly formed team after the Culinary World Cup in such a short time is really more than great. We are very satisfied and proud. But after the competition is before the competition.
What did taking part in the IKA mean to you?
Representing Switzerland at the IKA/Culinary Olympics is and will always be the greatest thing there is for us. Everyone who has been able to wear this chef’s jacket and show who we are and how strong we are as a team is absolutely incredible.
How would you summarise your menu or your culinary strategy in three words?
Authentic, honest, local.
After the IKA is before …? What’s next for your team?
We are already recruiting members for the teams with which we will next compete at the Expogast in Luxembourg in November 2026. We want to defend our World Championship title there.
Thank you!
